Josh Young

Joshua Young received a B.S. Degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences from West Texas A&M University in 2009. During his time at WTAMU he played 4 years of collegiate football in the WTAMU secondary. Josh contributed to 3 Lone Star Conference Championships and 4 Division II playoff appearances. In 2009, after graduating college, Josh moved to Dalhart, TX and started his coaching career under the guidance of his father Stephen Young. During each of his 8 years as a varsity coach Josh has reached the Texas State Playoffs. Josh has coached multiple All-District and All-State defensive backs. While coaching football Josh has served as a Strength & Conditioning Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator (Palo Duro -2012-2013), as well as being a part of 3 record setting seasons with 3 separate schools: Dalhart 2010 (10-2), Vandegrift 2014 (12-3), Magnolia 2015 (10-2). Josh has also served as an assistant and head track coach, working with multiple regional and state qualifiers.
