Jared Hickle

Coach Hickle is entering his 16th year as a teacher/ coach. He spent 11 years as a Varsity O-Line Coach and Varsity Pitching/ Catching coach at Smithson Valley High School. During that time 25 of his baseball players have gone on to play at the collegiate level, with 9 playing NCAA Div. I and/or professionally. Team football accomplishments include 5 District Championships, 6 Bi District Championship, 1 Area Championship, and 1 Regional Championship. Team baseball accomplishment include 8 Bi District, 6 Area, 2 Regional Quarterfinals, and 1 Regional Semifinals.

As a player Coach Hickle was captain of the 2000 3A State Football Champions and 2001 State Baseball Champions at La Grange High School. He played collegiate baseball for the 2004 Big East Champion and Regional Finalist St. John’s Red Storm. During his Junior and Senior year St. John’s won 81 games in NCAA Division I baseball. Coach Hickle also earned All-District, All-Area, All-State, and All-Big East honors as a player.

Coach Hickle and his wife Whitney have one son, Landon and three daughters Teagan, Tinley, and Tatum
